BIOGRAPHY
JAN FORSTER works since 1983 as a Mentalist, Magician and entertainer on stage and very close to the so called, the sog. „close-up-mentalism“. He has monthly and longer obligation in hotels, Casinos, Cabarets, (Art-) Theaters, Variétés and on cruise ships. In addition, he can be booked for individual events and appeared in many TV shows across Europe.
He was a student of Joe NEX and Henk Vermeyden, who are famous in their trade. Initially - he started at the age of 8 years to become interested in magic and in 1975 he became a member of the “magical circel” – and excelled in what he did. Over time he put more and more emphasis on mind magic, telepathy, psychology, the suggestive techniques, memory training and mentalism. Currently he presents several full-length shows, including his new program “With all senses! – (N)one mental joke”.
With his performances he won high prices, including the “Grand Prix Prag” 1981, the Gold- Medal “Tarocco D’Oro” Bologna 1983, die Deutsche Meisterschaft 1984-86, the “Merlin” Wien 1991 and other events. His engagements have taken him around the world, hardly a country, where he did not perform. His earlier studies of philology and his worldwide commitments allow him today, to perform in 6 languages. Often the press wrote about him: “…a man, who , with his fast hands, enchants every one…”.
In his spare time JAN FORSTER works on improving his performances, adds new elements, and creates new surprises. Next to that he studies other forms of entertainment, that inspire him for his performances. The result “will amaze you”.
