Libor Čapek

Libor Čapek was born in 1961 and graduated at the Conservatory in Brno-Czech Republic and at the music- academy in Prag with Prof. František Rauch.

During his participation in various classical competitions, like e.g. at „Concertino Praga“, „Beethoven’s Hradec“ in the Czech Republic and „Chopin’s Festival“ in Warsaw he won numerous prices and honors.

As a pianist he was a long term member of the National Theatre in Prague and also at the Semper Opera in Dresden. As a solo artist he has played with the following Czech top orchestras: „Virtuosi di Praga“ and „Czech National Symphonic Orchestra“. He also plays as a harpsichordist in the famous "Suk's Chamber Orchestra". As a soloist, he has played in many European countries, also with the following other soloists: Lucille Perret (Metropolitan Opera New York), Gabriela Beňačková (Staatsoper Wien), Pavel Šporcl (Violinist).
