Only 17 years old, Andreas Hecht was the winner at a music competition, and started to take lessons in classical guitar with Wolfgang Sigmund in Schleswig as well as – preparing for studying music – with Michael Dossow (Landesmusikschule Schleswig-Holstein) in Rendsburg. Since the end of 1990 he studied at the Hamburger Musikhochschule under Professor Klaus Hempel.
In addition to the study, Andreas Hecht attended a number of internationally respected masterclasses and festivals, and other events. with such excellent guitarists such as Alexander Frauchi (Rußland), Joseph Urshalmi (Israel), Jury Clormann (Schweiz), Bernhard Hebb (USA), and the Groningen Gitarrenduo (Niederlande), Alexandre Lagoya (Frankreich) as well as Hubert Käppel. Frank Bungarten and Thomas Kirchhoff (Germany). In all the diversity of his artistic experiences Andreas Hecht developed a particular interest in: his love for Latin American and Spanish romantic music.
“Classics” of the Spanish or. South American guitar literature such as Francisco Tarrega, Isaac Albeniz and especially Agustine Barrios therefore became a center of his repertoire – a repertoire, that is characteristic also by his own addition of folk music.
Andreas Hecht is already an integral part of the Hamburg-based guitar scene. Countless concerts and various radio recordings attest to his enormous wealth of experience and routine. He was part of the Gruppe Suenos, became a member of the Hamburg-based guitar ensemble (Preisträger des Dritten Deutschen Orchesterwettbewerbs in Goslar 1992) as well as the Hamburg Guitar Quartet (Rundfunkaufnahmen NDR – Podium der Jungen) He also played on various CD productions.
Since March 1993 Andreas Hecht is working together with the internationally successful singer of Patricia Salas on an extensive repertoire. The previous concerts of the two artists were received with enthusiasm.
